Common questions
Are meals included?
No — these are room-only stays. Bring your own food, or add the barbecue or a meal kit. You may also cook in the shared kitchen on the farmhouse ground floor. Many guests shop at the roadside station nearby on the way in.
Can I stay without flying?
Yes. You are very welcome to stay without flying. Many guests use us as a base for walking the Watarase wetlands and the three-prefecture border. If you head to the observation deck at Michi-no-Eki Kazo Watarase early in the morning, there are days when you can watch the balloons fly.
Can every room use the private bath?
It is for guests in the Twin Room, the Quad Room and Glamping. Guests in the Semi-private Room and the Dormitory are welcome to use the shared shower and washroom. It is not a hot spring.
Is there a pick-up from the station?
We collect you from Yagyu Station on the Tobu Nikko Line, but only if you check in between 16:00 and 18:00 — please ask in the notes field when you book. On foot it is about ten minutes.
Can I stay more than one night?
Yes. The booking form takes one night at a time, so for a longer stay please email us first at contact@solabase.com.
